Solid Oak Table Top

Made from full-stave solid oak, these table tops offer cafés, restaurants and other hospitality venues a more individual and durable alternative to mass-produced furniture. Available in custom sizes and finishes, they can be tailored to suit the layout, style and practical demands of each space.

Finish/colours

The tops are finished in Rubio Monocoat hardwax oil. There are more than 30 colour options available with a minimal-sheen appearance by default, although a satin top coat can also be added if preferred. Above is a selection of colours we offer as samples.

Edge profile

The choice of edge profile significantly contributes to the overall design and can be customised with the style you prefer:

  • Square eased: a classic square edge at first glance, but with a subtle 2mm rounded easing.
  • Rounded: 4mm or 9.5mm radius, for a softer feel and more organic appearance than square.
  • Bevelled: creates a stylish, modern Scandinavian look with a gently rounded upper edge.

Material

All designs are made from premium full-stave solid oak, with a choice of two top thicknesses:

  • 24mm: recommended thickness for an ideal balance of cost and quality, with a relatively slimline profile that still feels substantial and looks premium, making it a very popular choice for cafés and restaurants.
  • 30mm: offers a slightly more substantial appearance than 24mm, preferred by some café and restaurant owners, although the raw material we source in this thickness is significantly more expensive (around 90% higher).

Straightening bars

To moderate the effects of natural wood movement, we fit supports to the underside of the top, with two styles available depending on your preferred appearance:

  • Wooden bars: traditional wooden bars offer a classic café and restaurant look and are the lower cost option, protruding approximately 35mm beneath the top.
  • Metal bars recessed: bars sit within routed grooves, protruding just 3mm beneath the table top for a minimalist, streamlined appearance.
