Material thickness

24mm: recommended thickness for an ideal balance of cost and quality, with a relatively slimline profile that still feels substantial and looks premium, making it a very popular choice for cafés and restaurants.

30mm: offers a slightly more substantial appearance than 24mm, preferred by some café and restaurant owners, although the raw material we source in this thickness is significantly more expensive (around 90% higher).

Finish/colours

The tops are finished in Rubio Monocoat hardwax oil, with more than 30 colour options available and a natural, low-sheen appearance. A satin top coat can also be added if preferred.

Above is a selection of colours we have chosen to make available as samples.

Edge profile

Square eased: a classic square edge at first glance but with a subtle 2mm rounded easing for comfort. The corners are slightly eased to match to top edge.

4mm rounded: creates a noticeably softer top edge than a square profile, without looking overly rounded, making it a comfortable and practical choice.

11mm rounded: offers a more pronounced curve than the 4mm profile, giving the top edge a softer, more organic and flowing appearance.

Bevelled: a bevelled edge creates a stylish, modern Scandinavian look with a gently rounded upper edge for comfort. Sometimes called a Swiss edge.

Straightening bars

Underside
Wooden bars

Wooden bars: traditional wooden bars offer a classic café and restaurant look and are the lowest-cost option, protruding approximately 35mm beneath the top.

Metal bars surface mounted: a slimmer appearance than wooden bars as they only protrude 18mm beneath the table top. A more cost-effective solution than recessed, as no grooves need to be routed into the wood.

Metal bars recessed: bars sit within routed grooves, protruding just 3mm beneath the table top for a minimalist, streamlined appearance, although this option is more expensive than surface mounting.
